Central States
St. Louis Sting fields teams in the Central States Developmental Hockey League. Midget Level 18U, 16U, 16U Prospects & 15U are open district, so all players are eligible. For ages 14U through 9U Sting is a joint venture between the Twin Bridges Lightning and the St. Peters Hockey Club, formed by Missouri Hockey for the purpose of fielding youth teams in the Central States Developmental Hockey League. Teams are for the top-level Tier II players in the above clubs and eligible to the independent clubs of Jefferson City, Springfield MO, and Springfield IL.
Ages
We field teams from 9U through 14U. Midget Level 18U, 16U, 16U Prospects & 15U are open district.
When
Registration opens in Mid-May. Tryouts are always held beginning June 15th and league games begin in September.
Where
Practices
Each team will practice 3-4 times per week. Midget Level will have 2-3 full ice practices per week. All teams will also have off ice workouts during the week.
Games
There are approximately 24-30 league games, depending on the size of the league plus playoffs.
Jerseys
Our Central States teams will wear Sting jerseys. Uniforms are included in the season fees.
Additional Costs
In addition to your season fee, you will be responsible to cover player's travel, tournament fees, team bag and other team expenses.
