18u Head Coach Jake Bales

Jacob Bales, originally from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, played for the Kansas City Jr. Mavs during high school before attending Waldorf University. At Waldorf, he was a member of the ACHA team for five years (2012-2017 )and obtained a major in Sports Management. In 2015, he achieved the title of NCHL champion. With seven years of coaching experience, he has worked with Fort Zumwalt South, St. Peter’s Spirit, and CSDHL Sting. Notably, he helped led Fort Zumwalt South to two playoff berths semi final and quarter final in the Wickenheiser Cup and achieved the same feat with CSDHL Sting 07. He is recognized for his signature blue plaid jacket.

16u Head Coach Jon Girard

Coach Jon Girard, a Quebec native, has coached several successful Central States teams for 6+ years. Coach Girard started coaching with the St. Peters Hockey Club over 10 years ago and has coached Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Midget teams for St. Peters, St. Peters CSDHL and the St Louis Sting. Coach Girard's 2008 team has qualified for the Central States playoffs every year since he has been a head coach. Born in Quebec, Jon also spent his youth in Saudi Arabia and St. Louis. Growing up Jon played as a goaltender and skater.

15u Head Coach Cooper Seedott

Cooper Seedott is from the Northville, MI and grew up playing in the Detroit area. As a youth, Cooper played AAA hockey for Belle Tire, Honeybaked, Compuware and Victory Honda. From there, Cooper played Jr with the Point Mallard Ducks, Shreveport Mudbugs, and St Thomas Stars before attending college at Lindenwood University. Cooper was the starting goalie for all 4 years he attended, Solidifying himself at Lindenwood for 3rd in games played, 2nd in wins, and 1st in GAA, Save %, and Shutouts. After graduation, he played pro in Danbury and Birmingham. Cooper has been a coach in the Sting/St. Peters organization for 5 years and as a head coach for 2 years. Cooper's 2009 team recently won the CSDHL championship.

16/15u Prospects Head Coach Larry Bumb

Born and raised in St Louis area playing for multiple youth teams including St Louis Hockey Club, West County Flyers, Meramec Sharks and Delta. Honored to have played on two state championship teams at DeSmet high school. One year JrB Americans  


Coached for 29 years 8u through Midget Ages including six years at Selects, 8 years Central States at St Peters and Chesterfield, and 18 years at high schools.

2010 Head Coach Neil McHatton

Neil McHatton has coached hockey for nearly 20 years at the Club, High School, Central States and College level. His coaching career began as the varsity coach for East Alton Wood-River high school team in 2005 and he continued as a head coach and/or an assistant coach there until 2018. Neil has also been an assistant coach in the Sting organization since 2021 and his other coaching experience includes TBL Central States and SIUE.

2011 Head Coach Ed Kelsey

Ed Kelsey has over 13 years of coaching experience with the Twin Bridges Lightning youth hockey organization. He's coached at multiple skill levels and age groups utilizing a hybrid of ADM and old school hockey philosophy. He focuses on long term development. He has also ran mini camps and skill camps over the years and prides himself on his “out side the box” approach to teaching the game. Ed has coached everything from house silver to AA and 6U/8U to 18U/High school. Player development is always at the top of his priority list.

2012 Head Coach Laithen Phillips

Coach Phillips has close to 10 years of experience coaching youth hockey at the Central States level and Club. Laithen has been an assistant coach for the St Louis Sting/St Peters CSDHL for the past 6 years and has assisted with several spring/summer programs. He has also coached several successful club teams and been an integral part of Sting overall. Born in California, Coach Phillips split time as a youth between Oregon and St Louis. Coach Phillips played hockey locally with the Affton Americans and high school for Rockwood Summitt.

2013 Head Coach Spencer Barlow

Spencer has been playing hockey for 20+ years including College hockey for Maryville University and Semi Pro hockey in Sweden. Spencer started coaching back in Alberta for Airdrie Minor Hockey Association for U12 AAA, then moved to British Columbia where he coached AAA U18 for Fernie Fury Academy Hockey team. Spencer has recently graduated from Maryville university with his bachelors in Sports Management. Recently Spencer has been involved with the Blues where he is one of the youth hockey interns and on ice coach for Little Blues and Girls development.


2014 Head Coach Jordan Klimovsky

Jordan began his youth hockey career in Hershey PA, where he played for the AAA Hersey Bears. From there, Jordan’s Junior Hockey career continued with the Wyoming Coyotes in the WSHL. While in the WSHL, Jordan was trained in the European style of hockey that led him to a successful college career here at Lindenwood University. While at Lindenwood Jordan was part of a team that brought LU their third National Championship, 5 conference championships, and individual recognition including All Defensive team honors, along with LU Conference tournament MVP.  


2015 Head Coach Cody Barra

Cody Barra, a Buffalo Grove native has an extensive hockey background. Cody played youth hockey in the Chicagoland area, including playing at the Central States level for the Glenview Stars and Chicago Blues. His dedication and skill led him to the Atlanta Knights in Georgia during his senior year of high school, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the quarter-finals of the USPHL National Championship tournament. Following this success, Cody continued his hockey journey with the Rochester Icehawks in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League, contributing to the team's semi-final appearance in the National Championship tournament. Post-juniors, he earned a grant to play for the Lindenwood University D1 ACHA program, where he spent four years under the guidance of former NHLer, Rick Zombo, reaching the National Championship game during his freshman year. Cody's love for the game extends beyond playing. Since the age of fifteen, he has been coaching various ages and skill levels. Serving as a head coach with the St.Louis Rockets and Chicago Jets. Notably, he served as a head instructor for the Turcotte Stickhandling School and numerous other organizations. In the past three years, Cody has been an integral part of the Chicago Reapers AAA organization, contributing in coaching across three different teams. His dedication to player development is underscored by his role in running on-ice skills development with Tommy Wingels, a seasoned professional with an extensive NHL career. Recently Cody has been announced as the new Director of Hockey for the St. Peters Hockey Club.
